you must be simply referring to Edward M. Deleon Guerrero's presence (support) at the Covenant Party after making the following statement in the Variety on June 28, 2009
[“This is an exercise within one family.” said Edward M. Deleon Guerrero, chairman of the Committee to Elect Juan-Galvin. “Now that it’s done, we should now work toward unifying and moving toward the November elections.”]
Within the same breath practically, about two weeks later, the statement he made really was bogus.. and to suggest that the unity M.O.U. was between the (4) candidates.. meaning if the other wins, they can insure that they have (2) additional votes.. give me a break, when a unity M.O.U. is performed, it relates to the entire slate of supporters, not (2) votes.. although you can't force one to vote in any particular fashion, a unity M.O.U. is made in good faith with the candidates signing such an agreement with the backing of their supporters.
I think the Covenant Party organizers thought it would show dissension amongst Republicans, however, I think Edwards move to another party does not accomplish such a response and really zooms in on Edward as an individual and his character and the value system he subscribes to. Especially after making such a statement in Variety on June 28, 2009 in relation to unifying the Republican party.
The incident does one thing and that is showing the level of integrity Edward has. It shows the value system that his mindset is built upon. Is this a person you want to see in any future Administration? something to think about.. "scary" thought..
I think any individual running for Governor would find it in their best interest to distant themselves from individuals with weak character, limited values and no integrity.. these individuals are liabilities - not assets..
One wonders if Mr. Guerrero will get his old job back as the head of the Dept. of Public Lands (formerly MPLA, abolished after corruptions and abuses were uncovered)or maybe a loan from MPLT now that his friend Paduna is a Board of the untrustworthy.
Guerrero does not know which party to leech on to anymore. First, he was a Democrat then Republican and now a Covenant! There needs to be an establishment of the "wishy-washy" party. Ed would fit right perfectly into this party. Same goes for the other has-been politicians like Paduna, Pedro Nong, Ben Santos, etc.
And Anon 4:55 PM--I disagree. This is not about all Saipan voters.
This is about a man who acted in a principle role in the Juan-Galvin bid for election, who participated as an advisor, who knows that they agreed to support the winner of the primary and throw their support (and that includes the support of their followers) to the winner, and who is now going over to Covenant instead of supporting Heinz and Arnold.
I'm not a big fan of Heinz and Arnold myself. but really, Covenant...
It would be one thing if there were any principals behind such a move, but the only motivation can be crass greed. Well, stupidity would work, too.
Relax Ed, it's politics. Besides, he was already an unprincipled, crass and greedy person when he was on your side of the fence. Was it a stupid move? Time will tell.
On the bright side, after a falling-out with Covenant, the endorsement of fed-indictment-beating former Senate President Juan S. Demapan is again up for grabs, with the penumbra of the Chief Justice's family available in the shadows. Know anyone with a case pending there?
:-}
His supportive supporters are supportively supporting him with their support.
Was Timmy at the Covenant Rally too? He should stop fighting the inevitable and just admit to his wrong doings. His cry for innocence is like a little boy shouting 'wolf'. The color green represents horniness, horniness brings greed among people. Greed turns you into a Covenant Supporter.
Number of days left until CNMI voters boot out Uncle Ben and the Bitter Times Brigade...
Hafa Adai and Tirow!

Oh wait...all these characters were former Dems!
What is the legal name of Paduna?
What would you expect from a bunch of Saipan's loyal voters? That is the first promise broken after every primary.
Paduna is Pedro Rogolifoi Deleon Guerrero.

jmho.

Oh, and hey... at least he hasn't (that I know of) publicly asserted the importance of beginning Timmy's healing process as soon as possible.
On the bright side, after a falling-out with Covenant, the endorsement of fed-indictment-beating former Senate President Juan S. Demapan is again up for grabs, with the penumbra of the Chief Justice's family available in the shadows. Know anyone with a case pending there?

Goose, it was a good move. He belongs with Uncle Ben. I just wonder what he will be doing come November when Uncle Ben loses.
If you're looking for a Who's Who list of persons indicted in the last 15 years, the green slate bares all.
Seems like a perfect fit for Ed.
The silly season is now in full swing.
